Jay Chou — Capricorn [SHM-CD+DVD]

Artist: Jay Chou
Format: CD SHM-CD · Limited Edition / Release
Catalog number: UICY-16498
Release date: August 19, 2026
Status: Available

The 9th original album, released in 2008. The original album title "Capricorn" is a coined word combining Jay's zodiac sign Capricorn, the character "jie" from his name, and "magic," which he was absorbed in at the time. The reason it contains few love songs and many "healing" songs lies in its strong message to a society that had grown despondent due to the global financial crisis (the Lehman Shock) and successive natural disasters around the time of the album's release. Musically, it is a masterpiece that of course features Jay's signature fusion of R&B, hip-hop, and Chinese music, while also letting you enjoy his side as a pianist. Comes with lyrics and Japanese translations. The DVD contains music videos of the single-cut tracks.

Japan Direct shipping: Ships separately from Japan and cannot be combined with products dispatched from China or Hong Kong. Original retailer documentation may be included in the parcel.
