A self-portrait
made of sound.

Yayoi Kusama, the Japanese artist known for her polka dots and mirrored environments, also made her own voice part of her art.

In Song of a Manhattan Suicide Addict, she recites a poem at the centre of a video installation. Mirrors extend her image and the psychedelic background into infinity. We think of it as a self-portrait made of sound.
